

General Operative
Job Description
We offer both Full Time and Part Time Positions as Follows:
Full time: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift) 3 cycle shift pattern.
Rotating shifts over 3 Week Period of Days (8am - 4pm), Nights (12am - 8am) and Evenings (4pm - 12am)
Part Time: Saturday & Sunday (12-hour shift) 2 cycle shift pattern.
Rotating shifts over 2 Weekends, Days (8am - 8pm), Nights (8pm - 8am)
Additional Premiums are payable for Night Shift at a rate of €27.93 per Week for Full Attendance on Night Shift. The Company also operate a Service Payment from Year 5 onwards.
Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English

A good standard of education with a working knowledge of basic mathematics
Knowledge/Experience:
-
Previous industrial experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Basic computer skills
Reporting to: Shift Group Leader and Operations Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
In your role as a General Operative you may be assigned a variety of duties for which you will have received specific training to allow you to complete them in a safe manner and to provide customers with products that meet the quality specification on time and in full. These duties may include,

Attending production machines and packing the products from your assigned machines.

Moving product/materials to and from the production machines, using pallet trucks or fork trucks (where qualified to do so).

Moving products/materials to the stores/warehouse and stacking or placing on trailers

Moving products/materials from trailers to the stores/warehouse

Loading trailers with products/materials for shipment to customers/suppliers/external warehouses.

Moving trailers to/from the parking bays and loading docks.

Baling defective products/used packing materials and loading on trailers for shipment to customers.

Segregation of waste materials according to type to allow for recycling.

To carry out other duties as may be required from time to time for which you have been trained.

Ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to.

Complete paperwork\documentation as required in relation to your assigned duties.

Accurately carry out all quality procedures and checks as required in relation to your assigned duties.

Maintain a clean and tidy work area
To assist you with your duties you may be authorised to use equipment such as fork trucks, powered pedestrian trucks, shunters, etc. and you will only do so if you have received training for the equipment.
